K3 ULTRA 2026 will be held for the eighth consecutive year in the heart of the Rhodopes – on the border between Bulgaria and Greece, where the mountains bring together people from different corners of the world with their beauty, history, and challenges. The event offers five different distances – from 13 to 100 km – designed for both experienced runners and people who are new to the world of mountain running.

GEOPS 100K | 4500D+

The crown jewel of our race! An epic route that combines the most stunning sections from previous editions with 14 km of entirely new trail.

GBR 65K | 2750D+

GBR 63K starts in the town of Nedelino and passes through some of the most impressive Rhodope landscapes – high peaks, ancient rock formations, broadleaf forests, and views of the Greek mountains and the island of Samothraki. The route ends in Zlatograd and combines natural beauty with cultural attractions and hospitality along the way.

GBR 43K | 1700D+

GBR 43K is a classic mountain marathon from Madan to Zlatograd, passing through characteristic Rhodope landscapes, beech forests, and landmarks such as Kechi Kaya and the remains of the Koznik fortress. The route follows the high ridge of the mountain, offering views of Greece and the island of Samothraki, and ends with a gentle descent to the finish line.

GBR 23K | 1050D+

GBR 23K is a picturesque route starting and ending in Zlatograd, which follows eco-trails along the border itself and passes through shady forests, meadows, and historical sites. The climb to Kosora Peak reveals views of the White Sea and the Rhodopes, and the refreshment points offer authentic Rhodope dishes.

GBR 13K | 680D+

GBR 13K is a short but atmospheric distance that starts in Zlatograd and follows picturesque paths through the border forest and along the dam. Along the route, participants will enjoy authentic Rhodope food and panoramic views before finishing at the chapel of St. Catherine.

The races start from four different locations, with transportation to each starting point provided at no additional cost.

The finish line for all distances is in Zlatograd.

K3 ULTRA is part of BG Ultra Slam - an initiative that brings together several races in Bulgaria. Participants who complete the races in the initiative between 2025 and 2027 will collect six different medals, which combine to form a symbolic element - the UltraCube.

A medical certificate is not required. All participants undergo a medical examination (at no additional cost) before the start. If the doctors determine that a participant is unfit (hidden/independent of training health condition that is a contraindication for participation, e.g., acute illness, cardiovascular or respiratory problems, etc.), we will refund 100% of the fee.
